Trucks Back
Well, I got my truck back today, and she looks as good as new, if not better. At least she looks as good as she did when I bought her. I only had to pay 100 dollars for it instead of the 250 that I was going to have to pay as my deductible. He didn't do the oil change I requested, so he told me to come in anytime and they would do an oil change for free, which I thought was really, really nice. He was a really great guy for all that he did.
They put on a different grille than what was on it originally. The original was all black and the one they put on is chrome, which really draws your attention there. I figure its a good start to fixing up the truck. They got my fog lamps working, corroded wire and relays is all that was wrong with it. They also said that the fog lamps were after market not original, even though they were from Jeep. New paint job and all the other things that were wrong with it have been repaired, lyn. :)
they washed, waxed and vacuumed the inside of the Jeep. Like I said it looks just like new. I would have to say if you ever need anything done on your vehicle, top to bottom, that going to Joes Chevron would be a good safe bet. At least I now know someone that can repair cars down here so that I don't have to drive all the way to Boonville and go to Crills. Ill put up a pick of my newly fixed baby soon.
well, I think that was all that I needed to say so ill let you all go for now.

Kater
Well, Katie is starting school in two weeks. We visited ITT Tech this morning, neat school. She got signed up and all the forms filled out. Orientation is set for next thursday and the financial aid is going to be set up next wednesday. She is going to be going for multi media. and the guy she talked to said the starting salary is 32000 in most places. so this will be a good move for her, i really hope it works for her. And as i was looking around the place with her i thought that i might like to attend at some point. The classes are only two to three days a week for a few hours a day which isnt too bad. she will be going tues and thurs in the evening and then from 8-1 on sat.
so it really doesnt seem to be a bad deal. hopefully itll work out for her and if anything i can do the assignments with her so that i can learn something.
she said she is nervous to be starting school again so please keep her in your thoughts for the next few weeks as she gets ready to start. even though i know she will do fine and accel in something that she might actually enjoy a lot.
well, that is all for now.

helpful
Nothing too much new here, but i did run across this cool sight that tells you the gas prices around your area. The sight depends on people putting the prices in so the more the people join and help themthe more accurate the site will be.
Unfortunatly there wasnt anything down here where i live, even though the station that i go to is on there it didnt have the current prices. so i keep an eye on them just in case someone else stumbles on the site and wants to know what the price is.
I hope this helps fight this outrageous gas prices for you all.

Holy Crap
So the last two nights driving home fromwork have been spectacular. Saturday it was just rain and lots of lightening. Last night it was Lots of rain, lots more lightening, tons of thunder, and a whole bunch of hail. I love drining in thunderstorms where you can see all the lightening around you, spectacular show. Last night it was raining/hailing so hard i got down to about 20 miles an hour. couldnt see more than 10 feet in front of you. thankfully i had someone in front of me so i could follow them on the road. Kates Jeep held up very nicely, i was afraid the hail would go through the top. apparently the fabric of those Jeeps is pretty strong.
For the last three days at work i have had to learn the stations again. We just started our new menu again. Friday i had to learn all the new salads, that wasnt too bad, nice and easy.
Then on Saturday, oneof our busiest days i got to learn the Sautee station, mind you i have never worked on this station before to begin with. did pretty darn good if i do say so myself.
And then last night i had to work on my old station the grill. again thiswasnt too bad. but hopefully now that i know how to do all the stations we can get into some kind of routine. Just thows ya off when you have to learn 3 new things inone week.
I think thats all for now.

cool stuff
I foung this really cool application onthe internet so that you can use an email application such as Microsoft Outlook with yahoo. Since Yahoo recently changed to a subscription service for such applications. Its called YahooPOPS. You download it then install it on your computer and then when you configure it to their directions it just goes to yahoo downloads all your mail and it shows up on any email client that you want. Im using it with the Mozilla browser. So far it is working marvelously.
Well, my truck is to be done on Friday of this week. I got the information fromthe insurance company as to what they are going to have fixed and its only 4 pages long of things to be fixed. Joes said the thing that is going to take the longest is going to be waiting for the paint to dry. I think that is all seeing as i need to go to work.

The estimate is in
They called me today and said i did about 4000 dollars in damage to my poor little baby. Joes is going to tear it apart this morning and see if there is anything else that may be wrong with it. He told me that he had just finished with 4 other car deer accidents involving Jeeps and that he pretty much knew what was going to be wrong and what not. So after he gets it torn apart he is going to call the insurance company and tell them exactly what other parts need to be replaced, so the price will only go up. BTW, Joes is the garage that is fixing my truck, if any of you were confused.
But the good point is that he is going to get it fixed asap. since he and the insurance guy were working under the assumption that i didnt have rental insurance, which was a pretty good assumption. Needless to say i put it on my insurance coverage the day after the accident so next time i wont have to worry about it. Thank god i dont have to go back to work till tomorrow. and tomorrow i will have a ride to work if i need one. Kater will just have to pick me up after work is all.
On other news tomorrow the Forest Grill, the restaurant i work at, is starting their new menu. which ought to be fun seeing as its a friday and i will have not worked with the new salads yet, yipee for me. and no i wasnt demoted, i just work salad bar on friday when donna isnt there. although it looks easier than it was before seeing as they cut half of the salads that they had on the old menu.
well, that is all for now.
tata for now.

Joe-dar is back
For those of you that have known me since high school and the other few that i have told about this will understand what im talking about here. so anyways, last night on the way home from work i decided it would be a good idea to hit a deer. Apparently the damn deer have found me. After a 7 yrs hiatus they have taken revenge for me not hitting any of them. There is no news as of yet to the fate of my Jeep. Its lifeless and fluidless mass was removed by a flatbed. I have got to go up and get what i need out of it so that i can continue to function at work. thank heavens i dont have to work till friday so maybe by then i might have an idea as to what will happen to it.
Geico said they would call me within 4 working days to set up an appointment to look at the vehicle. this is my first eperience with a claim through geico, so everyone hope that they are as good as they are cheap.
So that is the extent of my night last night, and that is also coincidentaly the reason i started this blog. i was rumaging through my mass of email and saw something about glogging and decided to get my ass in gear and create one. so through a sleepless night this is what you got.
Thats good enough for me for now so ill go and maybe rest a couple hours before i call into work. i will talk to everyone later.
